Questions search firms ask

About PresightIQ

What is PresightIQ?

PresightIQ is business development for executive search firms in US healthcare and life sciences. It has two products: PresightIQ Briefs, which show retained desks the leadership seats coming into play before the search starts, and PresightIQ Role Monitor, which shows contingency desks every executive role at their own target accounts, the morning it posts.

Is PresightIQ a search firm?

No. PresightIQ does not place candidates. It finds the business development opportunities for search firms that do.

Who is PresightIQ for?

PresightIQ is for executive search and recruiting firms that place leaders in US healthcare and life sciences, from boutique retained firms to contingency teams.

Which sectors does PresightIQ cover?

PresightIQ covers eight desks: hospitals and health systems, post-acute and long-term care, outpatient and specialty care, academic medicine, biotech, pharma, MedTech and diagnostics, and CDMO and CRO.

Briefs or Role Monitor: which do I need?

Retained firms need Briefs, because retained mandates are won before the role exists. Contingency firms need Role Monitor, because contingency searches are won on speed once the job is posted. Firms that work both often use both.

Briefs (retained)

What is a PresightIQ Brief?

A PresightIQ Brief is a business development report for retained search partners. It lists the leadership seats coming into play on your desk, with the event behind each one, who decides, and what could stop it turning into a search.

How many seats will I see?

A national desk typically sees 10 or more C-suite seats a month. In October 2026, one national hospitals and health systems brief had 35 C-suite seats in play, 13 of them flagged before any search was announced. A desk limited to one state or one function will see fewer.

How early is "before the search starts"?

It depends on the event, so PresightIQ doesn't promise a number of days. A dated retirement can give months of notice; an abrupt exit usually brings an interim within weeks. Every probable entry has one thing in common: no search has been announced and no successor or search firm is named.

Does every seat become a search?

No. Some seats are filled from within, absorbed, or given to a firm the board has used before. Every entry has a "What could hold it back" section so you can tell which seats are worth your time.

How often do I get a brief?

Every week. Each brief covers your desk and geography, and is built to the same standard as the free brief.

Will another firm get the same brief?

No. Briefs are territory-locked: each desk and geography goes to one firm, and no competing firm receives the same brief.

Role Monitor (contingency)

What is PresightIQ Role Monitor?

PresightIQ Role Monitor is a business development system for contingency search firms. It watches your own target companies every day, flags new and long-open executive roles, finds the hiring decision makers with their contact details, and sends each role to the recruiter who owns the account.

What is a stuck role?

A stuck role is an executive role that has been open for 30 days or more, or taken down and reposted. Role Monitor groups stuck roles at 30+, 60+ and 90+ days and shows the date each was first posted.

How is Role Monitor different from other lead tools?

Role Monitor starts from your own company list rather than the whole market, sends each role to its account owner, attaches decision-maker contacts, and is a system you own rather than a licence you rent.

Does Role Monitor send emails automatically?

Only if you want it to. Automatic outreach is switched on per client and per company.

Sources and standards

Where does PresightIQ's information come from?

PresightIQ uses published sources: company announcements, SEC filings, state certificate of need records, board agendas and minutes, bond disclosures, FDA records, procurement portals, trade press and organizations' own leadership pages.

How are facts checked?

Every fact must be stated on a page PresightIQ opened, with that page's date. A separate check confirms each fact against its source and cuts anything the page doesn't confirm.

How do I tell fact from opinion in a brief?

Facts sit under "What happened", each with a numbered source. PresightIQ's interpretation sits under "Our read" and is always worded as a read.

Is PresightIQ AI-generated?

PresightIQ uses AI to search and draft. Every fact is checked against its source, and every read against the facts, before a brief goes out.

Why aren't CMS citations or FDA observations in my brief?

A regulatory finding on its own doesn't open a leadership seat. PresightIQ includes it as context when it bears on a seat already in play.

Pricing and getting started

How much does PresightIQ cost?

PresightIQ is priced as a retainer, or as a system built for you to own. Pricing is on enquiry and depends on your desk, geography and add-ons. One retained mandate from one market event covers two full years of PresightIQ.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Retained firms can request a free brief for their desk. Contingency firms can use the free stuck-role scanner.
